2015 Silverado sunroof water leak repair
Переглядів 11 тис.6 років тому
After 3 hours of water testing with the truck at an angle no water on the headliner but I did have water in the catch cans it'll evaporate away and I now have a dry headliner. Now that I know it works I need to make a pair on a 3D printer for my buddy's truck.

Переглядів 4,2 тис.6 років тому
I epoxied in a catch can to catch the water to keep it from dripping onto the headliner and let it evaporate away. I water tested for three hours after the repair no more leak under the headliner but the catch can did fill up and ran out through the drain tubes so it is working.

      I'd be interested in selling it. I haven't had it out in over a year. I also have a brand new spare motor to go along with it. I live in Washington State. Make me an offer. I guarantee it's the nicest build you will find.

      I bought an eBay front rim that was set up for disk brakes and a caliper. Then I welded 2 small tabs onto the fork tube to hold the caliper. A little silver paint on the tabs and you don't even notice them. It works great being able to stop it now.

    I jist did this and a 2 stage polishing to everything that rubs. Helix cover,helix where it touches cover, helix sides, inside movable sheave and where the 2 sheaves go together where the buttons rub. It was unreal how bad it was before I did this.

    Great job dude. But someone always has to comment on an improvement, which I think I would used the same size wheels but with ones that are flat free. I have the worst luck with these small pneumatic tires always going flat. Like on my wheel barrow and hand trucks and my chipper, and dump cart and always when I really need to use the thing. And one more thing, no just kidding that’s it.

    • @52drj
      @52drj 9 місяців тому

      My only reason for using these tires is my local store had a big sale and they were dirt cheap and I couldn't pass them up. You are right about them losing air I just haven't found a good deal on hard rubber tires and rims yet. Sorry to take so long with a reply.

    While I know their primary use is for offroad or soft ground, the sheer noise my floor jack makes is why I want something like this. The metal wheels on my cobbled driveway. I dread using it. It's insanely loud. I can't find a hard rubber wheel swap out for them, so this kind of thing makes a lot of sense.
